Abu Dhabi’s Miral has announced that its Yas Bay Waterfront development on Yas Island will open on 1 December 2021.
With a 3km boardwalk lined with leisure and entertainment brands, the destination will feature several international and homegrown concepts, including Ibiza-born beach club Café del Mar and Japanese street-food diner Akiba Dori.
Pier71 will serve as a hub for dining experiences, hosting Buddha-Bar brands Zeera, Bushra and the Siddharta Lounge, as well as Hunter and Barrel, The Lighthouse, La Carnita, Daikan Izakaya, Lock Stock and Barrel and Asia Asia, with more to follow.
Miral chief portfolio officer Gurjit Singh said: “The new destination supports our vision for Yas Island to become a global convergence for entertainment, leisure and business, as well as an attractive location for partnerships and investment opportunities. We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Yas Bay Waterfront to enjoy the exceptional experiences on offer.”
Guests can expect a line-up of entertainment, performances and events at the opening, along with fireworks displays set to take place every weekend during the month of December. The festivities will run in parallel with other events such as the UAE’s Golden Jubilee and the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 at Yas Marina Circuit.
Yas Bay Waterfront will complement the existing facilities at Yas Bay, including Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Hotel and the Etihad Arena. The Waterfront is also just five minutes’ drive away from Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi and CLYMB.
